Thanks Steve,

The last seven years have been an eye opening experience for me. For many years I was always confused by the passage in Scripture where Jesus says, “Many shall come in my name, saying ‘I am he,’ deceiving many.” I would try to imagine someone trying to convince me that he was my Savior, Jesus. Even if I weren’t a Christian I cannot see myself falling for such moronic stupidity; nor could I see anyone else falling for it. It puzzled me, and I would often wonder what it was that I was missing in the interpretation. The answer was that I couldn’t see the forest for the trees. Once I came to the revelation that it was the Catholic church that was being described, all the other Bible references fell into place. That angel of light, talked about in the Bible, is no other than the Catholic church with its man-made god, the pope, and all his predecessors.

Unfortunately, most have not come to that discovery, and see those who oppose Rome as bigoted and intolerant. Once a person is enlightened to this fact (and it is a fact) a whole world of understanding stands before him. The depth of the spiritual conspiracy perpetrated by Satan in the religion of Rome is deeper than we can even imagine. After seven years I am just coming to the point where I am no longer surprised when I, once more, uncover some new intrigue of Rome. I am now on my guard to everything, as to how it may actually be, or in some way related to, an encroachment of Rome, to bring the whole world under its power.

Rome is not merely one of many vying for predominance on the world stage, but is the epicenter of evil.

Where are the warnings from Protestant pulpits to this religion from Hell? In all my many years of listening to Sunday morning speeches, I have yet to hear a word concerning it; not a peep from all those highly trained, and certified, and licensed masters of the fair homily and the proper exhortation of Scripture. In spite of them the Holy Spirit has pulled back the shade, opened the window, and unveiled the truth. I will never dishonor my Lord again by believing that, what He Himself wanted to give me, could be gotten from a mere man.

Blessing,

Steve Blackwell

Steve,
I need no convincing that Rome and her Anti-Christ are the true Beast. Unfortunately, the modern evangelical church is apostate because they have left behind two things: the clear commandments of Christ and the fear of God. I trust I don't need to elaborate to you what I mean by the former and am sure you agree with the latter.
The problem with the church in America, in my humble opinion, is they have bought into the Roman tradition so completely, that they teach as truth things the Bible never says and ignore the things God clearly teaches, over and over again.
What most people want to hear is that God is a grandfatherly deity who passively watches as the world goes by, intervening only to make things better at their own whim and timing. God is love, but He is also awesome in His righteous anger and holiness. God HATES sin. While willing to forgive those who repent with "godly sorrow", He is not a god who winks at our sinfulness. Our God is a consuming fire and "many will come to (Jesus) in that day, saying, 'Lord, Lord did we not......" and Jesus will say, "Depart from me you sinners! I NEVER knew you!"

Hi Anthony
Unfortunately you have bought into a whole bunch of preconceived notions about those who follow Christ. You have swallowed the propaganda in other words.
Some of the greatest scientists in history have been folowers of Christ and many today in the top of their fields are bold followers of the risen Jesus. (google it)
The straw man image of ignorant, knuckle dragging fundamentalists is not a valid debating point. There is so much evidence to the thinking mind to support the Bible and the claims God make through His word that it is impossible to cover it in a short comment. Consider that throughout history wherever the scientific status quo has disagreed with scripture it has always changed it's view as more evidence came to light to agree with the eternal word of God. Consider the issues of spontaneous generation of life, Copernicus' biblical view of the solar system,
and even the modern scientific method which is based on a biblical world view of an orderly creation which can be examined and studied etc.
As for examining the claims of "other religions", followers of Christ have converted to Him from every religion known to man. Faith in Christ, unlike religion is based on evidence. The historical evidence of Christ' birth, death, and resurrection back His claim to be who He said He was (is). God incarnate! The prophetic fulfillment of so much written in the word, the evidence of multitudes of people throughout the centuries, the positve changes to individuals, families and nations where God's Book has been received and believed all point to the fact that the claims of Christ are real and the demands of Christ are pressing on every individual, including you Anthony. Foolish excuses will hold no weight when we stand before God to give an account for our stewardship of our lives. And we will all stand condemned for our rebellion against the obvious existence and authority of our Creator. Christ is the only lifeline available...but He is more than enough. Believe Him my friend before it's too late

How many times do we have to say we don't hate Christ? We only dislike the unscientific approach to the question of God which never answers anything, but leaves more questions and unsatisfactory requirements on us to cast aside thought for faith - a belief system that requires no or even spotty evidence - instead of supporting theories. The Agnostic movement for instance has gained steam, mostly for this reason - they no longer even need the Bible to evidence this claim but rather follow a 'gut feeling'. Gut feelings may seem reliable until you make a list of how many times they do not come to pass. I implore all Christians to examine the religions of the world and how they compare to Christianity. Try to view them as equal instead of looking down at them as inferior. What you will find is that none of them make sense. I challenge you to do this. If this does nothing to pull you to my side, you will at least find yourself more understanding of other cultures and beliefs. What have you got to lose? If God is so certain and so powerful, the answer is 'nothing.'

It is sad that we're having to have any discussions at all, but that surely is because of the times we live in. Much of the false doctrines could have been avoided if Christians truely followed the maxim 'sola scriptura' mentioned by the early Protestant reformers. Unfortunately the reformers and subsequent Christianity did not go far enough. Justification by faith was extremely important and I praise God for that initial rejection of the satanic pagan Rome, but to this day MANY christians do not interpret the scriptures properly. If we interpreted the scriptures as the people in the Bible interpreted them then we wouldn't have tithing; keeping the sabbath; limited atonement; Calvinistic doctrine of election rather than biblical election; losing your salvation; amillenialism; replacement theology; cessationism; prosperity teaching; toronto "blessing" and many more. I have found it impossible to find a local church which is biblical and on fire for God. Most congregations are either ecumenical, reformed, liberal, emergent church, or hyper charismatic. For years I have declined to enter any of these but knowing that the pre tribulational rapture is very soon I have decided to 'return' to the organised church to edify and be edified, to exhort and be exhorted and hopefully make a stand in loving attitude for the truth of the word of God. Naturally speaking I am not confident in Christians leaving their traditional beliefs for the truth but I believe I should try.
God bless you all

Brian,

Thanks for reading the article. We are a small site without many steady readers, but that is O.K., it is growing somewhat.

Our message here is not popular with those who want to eat from both trees.

To subsist on manna only was boring for the Israelites while walking through the wilderness, and they felt they could be fine if only they could add to their diet some of the things they were used to back in Egypt. That is the problem in the here-and-now; Christians want something to supplement the food of Heaven, i.e. the Bible; it has become boring, and modern Christianity's offer to spice things up a bit is hard to resist.

Well, I think you understand the problem. We must fight the urge to go back to Egypt, and keep our eyes on the finishline, and our minds on our mission.

Thanks again, and bless you,

Steve Blackwell
